Picked up Twisted Metal for PSP today locally and it kinda sucks and hurts my damn hand..

According to this; http://www.ebgames.com/gs/sites/eb/help/ReturnPolicy.asp

Returns and exchanges of new and Pre-Played merchandise will be accepted within 30 days from the date on the packing slip.

Exceptions: Video games, computer software, video game systems, computer hardware, action figures and DVDs may NOT be returned if opened or unsealed and non-defective. You may exchange these items for the same item if the original is defective. Terms and conditions of manufacturer's warranty apply to defective video games systems and computer hardware after 30 days.

New merchandise must be returned or exchanged in new condition with all original packaging and contents. Pre-Played merchandise must be in the same condition and with the same packaging as when purchased.

Items may be returned or exchanged by shipping them to EBgames.com, or by taking them to an EB Games store location in the United States. Items returned to an EB Games store location must be accompanied by the original packing list. To ship a product to EBgames.com, include the packing list, identify the reason for the return and send it to the address on the return shipping label.

Now my receipt however says this;

Opened accessories & all used items can be returned/exchanged w/in 7 days.

So, since the game sucks, can i just bring it back? I know stores are usually anal about returns on software/games..

You own the game, like it or not.

i dunno, its was neither sealed nor "opened" in the context of the policy, i wonder if i might.

Yea, you have two documents saying you can return.
I'd say you can return.
I'm sorry but I dont read that.
It says he cant return an opened video game. (Based on his story I assumed he played it.) And the second item says "accesories and used items". I take that to mean something that was already used and the customer bought cheap, like out of the bargain bin.

I suspect I could be wrong though.

EDIT: I just reread the OP post and title again.

Hey aphex, did you buy the game new or used?

You can return it even if you don't like it. Used to be once you bought it it was yours unless it was defective then you could get a working one. Now that Gamestop owns EB, though, they adopted their style of returns. You can return a game for any reason within 7 days and get something entirely different if you desire. Needs to be greater or equal value, though.

I thought EB bought Gamestop.
Shows how much attention I pay.

Doesnt matter. They both charge too much. I get my stuff from CDuniverse or maybe Newegg.
