That's the exact cable I was going to suggest.

Hey, TheNinja, that cable is perfect unless you need to run it inside a wall.

I'm using that cable to connect my monitor to my computer. Everything looks great even up close.

I just can't believe that a $5 cable gives the same quality as the $70+ Monster cable. But I guess on a digital cable over 6' it does make sense. It's either a 1 or a 0 and as long as there is no data loss I guess the quality can't suffer.

If you have your receipt then you have 14 days from the date of purchase for a full cash refund assuming the cables are not damaged and you return everything that came in the package.

There is some truth that better quality cables make a difference, even when considering a digital signal. However, price really is a poor judge of that quality. On a practical level, just about any cable, even crappy ones, will work just fine at 6'. Beyond that, depending on resolution, there is something to be said to getting better cables.

Don't believe it? Okay. Send me $100 and I'll send you a big, huge, thick cable. It must be better, right?

I should have stated it differently. My logical mind has a hard time comprehending the fact that somebody could sell a cable for $5 that would do the same thing as someone else who sells one for $60+. I realize it's a free market but what companies like Monster are doing is straight up robbery.

BTW: The TV is 1080p but it is my understanding that currently HD TV is only in 1080i. Will I notice an difference between the 6' $5 HDMI cable from monoprice that's 28gauge and the HDMI 1.3a Category 2 Certified CL2 Rated Cable (24AWG - 6ft). I don't mind paying $15 for the category 2 certified cable if it will make a difference.

Also, my DVD player is composite and component only. Again I"m going 6' with it, would the "premium" component cables for #12.50 be better than the standard one for $4?

Either way the $15 HDMI and $12.50 compononet are far better price than the $60 and $40 from Bust Bey.
