My roommate just informed me that T3 was released today. I could have sworn the release date was July 2. However, he saw a small sign at the theater today and bought tickets for a showing tonight at 8pm.

I don't understand this concept. If a movie's release date is July 2, how does a theatre get away with showing it a day early? I can understand a showing at 12AM, but 8PM?

There was an advanced screening at a local theater tonight. I'm not sure what time it was, but I saw the sign advertising it for July 1st in the theater last night...

Yes lots of theatres having showtimes tonight. My theatre has it for 8pm and 10:40 pm on two different screens.

Looks like it's showing tonight around here as well, alas I have no way to go.

I probably won't see it until Thursday night at the earliest.

Damn it all to hell. Advanced screening here is July 5th with the opening on the 11th, I think. I might have to go to that advanced screening. Preview looked awesome (as I finally saw Matrix Reloaded this weekend).

Just got back from it, about a half hour ago. Freaking awesome. Unlike the story line of many trilogies, this one stays on par and doesn't get too far fetched.

/might want to mention NO SPOILERS in the thread title

Well "technically" you can't say that about the story line, considering Terminators shouldn't have even existed after T2 (one of the official sequel books did explain how they came about again). I haven't seen the movie so I'm sure you can tell me otherwise though (hopefully I can see it Thursday)
