Anyone know anything about selling artwork

There is nothing within probably a six hour drive of us

An auction house should be able to do it with pictures. For me knowing nothing, I'd think a consignment gallery in the south west would be the best place to sell it. Dunno how to make that happen.

That or Certified mail or something insured along that order to one to have it appraised.

Got me.

I'd think a real original would be worth a bit.

I can't even give my art for free, you expect me to sell it?

So what's is this painting of yours about? :awe::biggrin:

Step 1: take a few pictures of the art
Step 2: find an auction house / appraiser
Step 3: e-mail them (with the pictures from Step 1)
Step 4: when they respond, figure out if it is worth it to drive/fly/mail
Step 5: $$$

The artist is still selling originals on her website. One has a listed price of $1500, so they're not worth too much. I'm guessing there is a very limited market for paintings of Native Americans and horses by a Scandinavian woman. OP's best bet maybe just ebaying it off.

Maija the artist should paint Star Wars stuff. Instead of Indian women cupping their breasts, she should learn to paint Slave Leia. Instead of wolves and horses, she should paint Ewoks and Taun Tauns. There's a much bigger audience for that stuff. I just paid $2500 for some Star Wars original art from a comic con. Seriously.

I half suspected as much in reality.

$1500 is a bit to me personally.

Elevenpog, please do not escalate this. I feel bad enough for going off topic and I would crush you.

Is that a challenge? I'm up for whatever man. Do we whip out our virtual E-Peens now? How does this work? Come at me bro.

My oil paintings of myself nude sells for a decent amount but sadly that's the only experience I have in selling art. 🙁
