So what would you guys recommend? I just thought a 10 year warranty was pretty damn impressive. For a manufactorer to put something like that on a car they have to be pretty confident in it's construction.

As for impact resistance I'm sure it doesn't handle as well as most cars.. =(
but I figure if you're in an accident these days 9 times outta 10 it'll be with and SUV and in that case almost any sedan is in trouble.

This Kia I would have never thought about hadn't someone suggested them to me and pointed out the warranty which i downloaded and read off their site.

It should be pretty obvious by now that I'm not a "car" guy lol. Maybe I'm better off buying a new used car rather then a brand new one I may regret later on..

/edit Geez thanks for that link! Looks like this car really sucks by those reviews!

vw and hyundai give the same 10/100 powertrain warranty. Look around, you'll see 1986 vw's still on the road. I don't see many hyundai's from that era still rolling..

time speaks alot about quality.

kia's suck, plain and simple, but if you really want one, i would recommend a 2-3 year old one

I would recommend a Hyundai Elantra (1996 model and later). I have a 98 Elantra, I bought it back in January, it rides and feels great. I have no regrets about the purchase. I havent had any problems with it since. Early 90's Hyundai cars used to suck, but their quality has improved a lot recently.
