I need a duplex scanner to convert a ton of files to .pdf 300dpi for most of it, but some may need 600dpi I've found several for ~$1000 but I really wanted to know if it would go through one of those cardboard file storage boxes in a 8hr day or less at ~20-25ppm.

some of the ones I'm thinking about buying for the office:
Canon DR-2080C
BELL-HOWELL SIDEKICK 1200 COLOR DUPLEX SCANNER
XEROX DOCUMATE 252 SHEETFED COLOR SCANNER
PANASONIC KV-S2026C DUPLEX COLOR SCANNER

I just assume try buy one with the option to return it in a week for a full refund (and upgrade to what would work best) to see if it'll fit my needs, but scanners seem to be one of those non-returnable items.

20 ppm = 1200 pph = 9600 ppDay. I'd say that should easily eat through a couple boxes a day.

it may be more than you want to spend... but we have a HP digital sender 9100 at work and this thing does a great job
20-25 ppm at least and pretty good quality
