anyone know anything about electric bikes?

with summer coming thinking it might be fun to have an electric bike to work

seems to be alot of options and most of them are junk, anyone in the know can give recommendations? conversion kits are fine also.

I've considered it for my 25 mile daily commute.

Seems like a very long way for a bike, electric or not....

If you've been riding for a while and have a good bike, 25 miles is a very standard commuting distance.

If you don't have a long way to go, electric is rather lame and defies the health benefits. If you do have a long way to go, unfortunately I'm unaware of any models that provide assistance.
