Anyone know an IRC server that uses Port 80?

My friend has a pretty strict firewall at his Uni, that has blocked standard IRC ports. He uses this to talk to people he plays Planetarion with, to discuss strategy etc.

He is looking for a server that uses Port 80 to try, or maybe another non-standard port might work?

Anyone got a list of servers he can try?

I'm having to phone him to tell him them, as he doesn't and can't use MSN/AIM etc either!

have you tried a port redirector? Do a search here in ATOT for university. college, or p2p b/c they all have the same blocked port problem.

He's not allowed to install HTTP Redirector (which seems to be mentioned a lot here!)

All he wants to do is get onto IRC to talk to people! He doesn't use file sharing or anything, he always buys the stuff he wants.

I got told about BNC, can't use that tho.
