Anyone know about this kind of network problem?

anybody had this happen before, or know what is going on with my work pc?
outlook.exe - entry point not found The procedure entry point ??_U@YAPAXI@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCRT.dll

cant get into outlook to get e-mail.... network drives all ok, so is the internet (or this wouldn't be posted) my tech support had never seen it before, tried some stuff and admitted defeat and was going to send a person to look at it....

any ideas?

Your msvcrt fileset has been overwritten. Google that string: ??_U@YAPAXI@Z for a fix. MS recommends you replace msvcrt.dll, msvcirt.dll, msvcrt20.dll and msvcrt40.dll.

You can get them from the orig install disk from your OS, (must be expanded, or extracted from the .CAB), but if there are any service packs installed, it will putz it up. Quickest fix I can think of is to install the latest service pack.

Otherwise you can find the files from a similar computer (OS-wise) and directly copy them. Reboot, poof, fixed.
