Checking Windows Update right now, but it's getting hit hard. I am getting a "Server Too Busy" error.

I seem to remember hearing about it when XP first came out. I don't think it adds any performance, and is probably bundled in SP1. I think it just adds model names in the device manager afaik.

it's not that agp fix is it ?
unless the patch just came out then it is prob in the service pack

maybe it is some kinda update for their demo 64-bit windows
or maybe it is their downloadable 64-bit windows demo (for the athlon fx/opteron)

That's odd....the new AMD driver has disappeared from Windows Update. It was there just a couple hours ago.

I think it enables AMD PowerNow! technology.

Yep, it enables Powernow! for AMD mobile CPU's. It's largely aimed at notebook users. Desktop users will not notice canything new.
