Aside from playing an audio CD.

Is there a way to associate a music file and have it play in background while slides change?

Its been awhile since I've done that but it is certainly possible, give me 10 minutes and I should be able to give you instructions on how to do so.

Edit: Add the sound file to whatever slide you want the music to start on. Right click on it and go to custom animation. Click the multimedia settings tab. Click the "play using animation order" tab. Next to the "while playing" header, click "continue slide show." Next to the "stop playing" header, click the "after ## slides" button. Then insert a number higher than the number of slides you have. That should work.

depending on what version your using.....you should be able to go to the animation settings or properties whatever it is (where you manage the animation of the slids) when it says audio, you can click other, or import. be sure that you convert the music you want to play into a wav. file. i dont think it will play any other type files. if you need further help lmk-Joe
