Anyone invest in foreign markets?

Does anyone here invest in foreign markets? If so, which ones are showing promise? I'm relatively new to investing but want to protect myself against a weakening dollar. So I'm thinking a Euro market or China/Japan.

Also, if you have any links to backup your opinions please feel free to list them. Thanks for your help

try Societe Generale. it's a big french bank w/lots of potential. (stock is low, thus the only place is up)

Try ETFs.
Brazil -> EWZ
Japan -> EWJ
Gold -> GLD
There are a bunch of others. Look on yahoo finance.

BTW, keep in mind that falling dollar is a double edged sword. On one hand it helps valuation because foreign currency appreciates, but on the other hand it hurts because foreign companies that export to the US earn less due to exchange rate.

brazil is super duper hot. I have shares in two different ETFS.

EWH -> Hong Kong
BKF -> stocks covering brazil, china, russia and a few other countries.
