Anyone invent anything? Where to go with ideas?

Where do you go if you can't afford to build prototypes of your ideas or pay for patents? Lawyer fees are understandably expensive, but if you do have an idea and don't have the cash what do you do???

Anyone face this?

I invented a vibrator sort of thing out of an eggbeater
My gf wouldnt try it though but everyone seemed to like the idea
also my latest idea was to tear apart one of those lcd tvs to make a projector still working on that one

You can get a do-it-yourself "patent kit" at Office Depot. It contains all the forms you
will need.

Whatever you do, don't respond the those infomercials that claim to handle
the patent process for you. What they really do is take your idea, and patent it
themselves.

You don't really want to invent anything. You may become extremely weathly and then Al Gore and chess9 will take your money and tell you to shut up.

C Elmo,

I suggest that if you live in the state of Alberta, USA, do not file a patent application.

It will be rejected.
