I have had Losi XXCR, XXXCR, XXT, XXXT, XXNT, Associated TC3, and a Bolink dragster that I made using an old Tekin ESC that accepted up to 21 cells.
Well, we (me and a friend) made a huge pack of 21 cells, using some older Trinity 1700 cells and used a Trinity 12TDouble motor. We painted 2 lines on the road, 50ft apart, and used a stop watch. We got it up to 68mph, until it went a little out of range and literally launched off the road into a tree trunk and smashed the heck outta everything... We managed to salvage the ESC and the batteries, but everything else was demolished. 😀

I posted this a while back (not the hood ornament 😉). It's a Serpent 705, I also have an HPI RS4 3 type SS (my first car). Probably gonna get the HPI R40 as the next car. As you can see, I'm an on road guy, I think off road is fun, to a certain extend, but when skills are required, on road baby!
I usually race at Revelation raceway (www.revrace.com). As soon as I fix my Serpent, I'll go out there again. I still have to change out the sleeve and piston on my HPI, too lazy. 😀Originally posted by: Somecallmetim
I have the original RS4, a Micro, a Hyper 7 PBS buggy, and a F201. Anyone race in CA?

I always wanted an HPI (like an RS4), but never could decide if after the first week I'd enjoy it enough considering the cost. Also wanted an airplane, which I would enjoy more. If I had money to blow, I'd get one with a gas turbine (a real jet engine, not a ducted fan).
Man... strap some remote firing rockets on that bad boy and you got yourself a mini Y/F-22 fighter... 🙂Originally posted by: Antisocial-Virge
Mean like one of these? I've got a some other pics froom "The heart of Ohio Jet Scramble" if you want to see them. Now thats a expensive hobby. $4500 for the jet kit, $2500+ for the turbine +radio..++++ *L*Originally posted by: Slickone I always wanted an HPI (like an RS4), but never could decide if after the first week I'd enjoy it enough considering the cost.
