Dude. the Art of War is nearly if not over 3000 years old. i'm talking about the book. Sun Tzu was a military advisor to one of the kings in Feudal China. Sun Tzu (Master Sun, real name was Sun of Wu reigon/family) ((dont remember well)) the book itself is about how to conduct yourself in war, in negotiations, battle strategy and winning the war.

the book i found reads really easily if you just think about what they're talking about, and figure out almost all the wierd words are chinese units of measure.

"We were solders once, and young"

You may have seen the film, but it only covers half of the book.

After they left the first LZ (they WALKED OUT by the way, in the movie it showed them being airlifted) they got hit again and HARDER. As they marched single file through the jungle, the head of the formation took a couple of POW's. They radioed back for ALL the officers to come forward to help interogate the prisoners. Once they got forward, the N.V.A. hit them again. Now the troops were spread out along a mile or so of jungle, and they had NO leadership. As bad as the first battle was, the second was MUCH worse.

"To Hell and Back" by Audie Murphy...I am a military history major and this is one of the finest accounts of WWII combat from a soldier
