My old Rockford Fosgate deck, which was one of the very first decks that played MP3 CD's, has crapped out.

I believe the person who had my truck before replaced the factory speakers with some cheap pioneers.

They sound decent and i am sick and tired of spending all my driving trying to search for music to listen to on the radio. The radio still works but when i play CD's there's a hissing sound that gets progressively louder and louder.

I'm looking for a cheap but decent deck that will play MP3 CD's. I don't plan on adding any subs. Maybe some better speakers in the doors and whatnot later on. I'd also like something with a remote.

So..can anyone suggest a deck with MP3 CD playback capabilities, decent quality, and a wireless remote for around $100?

Alpine headunit, maybe slightly used? I grabbed a very nice one from here in FS/FT for $65 for my dad, hell of a deal compared to buying it new.

Pick up a Kenwood KDC-MP532U or KDC-MP832U or perhaps one of the newer JVC's. They play MP3 CD's and support USB mass storage devices as well (primarily flash thumb drives). JVC also makes a $350-400 MP3/DVD player with a 3.5" screen. It'll play MP3s off a DVDR and I believe it will play video DVDs as well.

I'm a big fan of JVC & Panasonic Head units.

Chec out Crutchfield for features and reviews then buy off ebay and save 30% or more.

Buying last years modle always helps out too on pricing.
