Anyone interested in the xperia play - release date Feb 13th

I was expecting something completely different, but now that the specs are out its basically just a pretty powerful android with a slide out controller.

I am currently using a samsung captivate, and I love playing old classics on it, but if it had a controller it would be awesome. I don't know if its worth upgrading since the captivate is an awesome phone that is almost as powerful.

It also has a huge following at XDA, which would be one of the reasons why I might not wanna make the move.

I'm curious to what others think about it, as I havent really heard that much buzz about the phone. Is there a reason for that?

I'm curious what it will deliver in terms of PSP games, but with the NGP announced, I'm more interested in that.

If I can run emulaters on it with decent battery life. I might consider it. Has to be priced right too. I'm not going to overpay just for a d-pad.

I think its crazy that they still haven't really released any games. Since its just running android 2.3, I'm guessing whatever they release for it will be available for other android phones (without the controller)

Even if theres not any impressive games, I still might be in, just because theres already so many good games out for emulators. I'm more concerned with how good of a phone it is. And how much of a developer following it will have.
