Anyone interested in taking a survey about their career choice?

I'm working on obtaining data for the topic of one of my final papers. I posted a survey on survey monkey. If anyone could spend 5 minutes and answer the questions, I'd greatly appreciate it. The answers are anonymous.

Here is the link.

Thanks again for the responses. A lot of the feedback is pretty interesting. I might post the most common "ideal career choice" after a few more responses. The current ideal career choice leader isn't one that I anticipated.

It would be interesting to be able to break down the data by age range. The reason I mention it is that people's "ideal" might change with age. Generally those who are younger are more interested in acquisition than those who are older and who have most of what they need. Just a curiosity thing on my part.

I thought of that after reading the first 10 responses. But, age information doesn't really pertain to my hypothesis. I can put people in broad age groups by their responses, especially when people are concerned about their age, mortgage, and providing for their family in pursuit of their ideal careers.

I really appreciate the responses. The more data the better, so I encourage all to take 5 minutes.

Does anyone care to guess at the most common chosen childhood occupation and most ideal adult occupation that I have collected so far?

I'm sitting at 28 surveys so far. I would really like to get at least 50 surveys minimum before I write my report, 100 would be ideal.

As of 28 surveys:

Pilot is the most common career chosen as a child by the participants.

Veterinarian is the most common ideal career occupation as an adult by the participants.

Do you still want a response if I'm still in school? I've only got a year in school to go so my future occupation is pretty much determined.

Yeah, the survey is open to anyone. I'm sure everyone has had a job and a dream at some point.

Done, although my answers were somewhat more generic in some cases (more general ideas than specific occupations). Hope that helps! :)

Thanks for the added surveys! I'm up to 28 (after throwing some out). Feel free to pass the link around to people you know. Thanks!
