Its everynight from 11 - 12 on your local PBS station. Charlie Rose is a great show host, and he has GREAT guests. The topics and the discussions are very intellectual and interesting. More importantly, it is more balance and paints a more accurate picture of the issues from the war than sensatualism journalism from the likes of MSNBC, CNN and Fox. I don't have the time to follow CNN the whole day, so I just catch an hour everyday to catch up on all the news.

You're not missing much. CNN has the bottom 1/3 of the screen filled with junk (rotating news items, etc.) and it makes their presentation a bit hard to watch. However, I do like Charlie Rose, but have not watched his program since the start of the war.

Even better. If you guys have access to any international channels and can understand a foreign language, man the coverage is night and day. These people are true reporters. The media we have here is run by the Pentagon. Its about as fair and balanced as Iraqi Tv.

The problem I have with most US coverage of the war, is that all it shows are troop movements, and nice pictures of happy Iraqis, and the American soldiers helping them. This would be all fine and dandy if that was all that was going on, but as soon as you go to foreign sources, the picture changes.......COMPLETELY. They show the horrific images of the wounded, the dead, the captured, and the starving. And I think that if these images aren't shown, then you are only seening a small part of the war. Its important that the human element is included instead of statistics. It gives pause to those who want to go in and kick ass, and thats a good thing in my opinion.

I'm not extremely fond of watching international news either. Those international news reports are probably just as biased towards their views as the US reports are to the US views. Its hard to find any news reports that are 100% unbiased but I hope you realize that the US news are probably the least biased and contains the least propoganda beacuse our press has so much freedom, and we have so much selection on what to watch and read. The trick is to not watch the more popular networks and the more popular news reports, as they are certain to cater towards ratings and sensationalism. Charlie Rose seems to be a really independent show that caters to people who want to gain unbiased insights to what is going on.
