I have a lamp like this and a lamp like this. Both are too short on the inside to have a separate light sensor installed like this.

I was wondering if any of you have ever bought fixtures with integrated light sensors and if there were any you'd recommend.

So it starts shooting as soon as it gets dark out? I think you want motion detectors, not light detectors. ;)

Yeah, I'm talking about photo-electric sensors.

I have my outside lighting installes with photo-cells for dusk-dawn lighting. I have one fixture that has it's own photo-cell in it, PLUS a motion sensor, so that at dark, the light comes on, if you approach, it comes on brighter. IIRC, that came from Home Depot several years ago. My front lights, (mounted on the garage, are controlled by a remotely mounted photocell.

They have a lot of Motion Sensing lights now that come on automatically at dusk but only come on to about 20% power. Then when they sense movement they come on all the way. We thought about getting some of these but never got around to it.

You're going to have to try that again. Home depot's website sucks.
