Anyone in Vermont, NH, or Maine? Are the leaves changing yet?

We'd like to go look at leaves either tomorrow or Sunday. When I normally go to NH, I typically head to Franconia to hike, but I don't think those trees are good for leaves. Can anyone suggest a good area to hit this weekend for awesome Fall foliage? Thanks!

There are craptons of fall foliage tracking and reports with live maps and live cams.

Google the terms plus 'new England's

I think it kind of peaked already, but there is still stuff for leafers to look at.

I'd have to go for a drive down the highway, sometimes you do hit really nice spots here too, but I think it's past the peak at this point. Like my tree at home pretty much has no more leaves now.

We actually had a winter where the leaves never fell or turned color, it was weird. Basiclaly we went from summer to winter in one shot over the course of like 1 day, so they never had a chance. Was weird seeing leaves on trees in winter. They had all withered though, so they were no longer green.

Seems like we're not going to have a very colorful autumn this year in my area. A lot of leaves are pretty much going straight from green to shriveled up brown.

I have an apple tree out back that losses its leaves very late in the year. There's still plenty of leaves on the trees here yet.

Stowe,VT located in Lamoille County is a favorite leaf peeper destination. The Stowe area is at or very slightly past peak color.

The Trapp Family Lodge was photographed from a distance if three miles under poor conditions on Sunday 10/15.

Lake Elmore was photographed on 10/13.

If you prefer foliage not quite so advanced perhaps the Champlain Valley or further south around Woodstock may be to your liking.

Enjoy!

Same here. The Midwest had a very warm and dry start to the fall. I have a few large trees that haven't changed a bit.

Leaf peeper season has already peaked in most of NH. But with the warm weather you might still have some luck in parts of Southern Vermont.

I was in Orleans Vermont 3 weeks ago and the leaves were very close to peak. It gets cold early that close to Canada.

Pretty crazy how the East is still warm. Here in Colorado it's been very seasonal and we got snow a few weeks ago already. Although, that was just a dusting. Personally, I would love if it was still 85 out here. But I suppose it's time for the weather to change.

I'm in coastal Connecticut so quite a bit different temps then Stowe especially in terms of difference between day/night.

Btw I love Stowe ... one of the places I learned to ski.
