<-- Works in downtown Houston.
We got hit pretty bad with a freakin' waterfall's worth of rain, but no tornados showed up in the immediate vicinity. There are some downed trees right outside my building, and even a manhole cover got knocked out of place by all the water that was accumulated in the underground area.
Fortunately, the rain has died down significantly as of right now. I think I'll be able to catch the bus and still remain dry.As of the drive back, however, my wife informed me that the ditch by a major street I take home has flooded over. Hmmm...

Speaking of The Great Indoors, I feel so sad that the store is closing down. It was such a nice store. Well designed and well planned. I am sorry to see it go away.
At Jefferson and Smith, close to the ex-Enron buildings. I live up in Spring; it took me a good two and a half hours to get home, when it normally takes about 50 minutes. I got lucky, though -- I saw lots of cars that were stuck in the floods on the feeder roads on I-45. So sad.Originally posted by: CPA
