Anyplace better to level up then in the top left and beat on the dinosaurs in that forest?

Also.. whats a good level to get up to before I try to beat Kefka's tower? I am working on getting everyone to level 50 w/ Fire, Ice, Bolt, Life, and Cure at level 3...

T-rex's/brachio's are the best for leveling. Go with one person at a time, equipped with 2 exp eggs....that does the ticket! Man I was obessed with that game like 10 years ago....my party had like 8 guys at level 99.

Yeah.. the esper thing that teaches you Ultima.. have someone working on it now..

As for the exp.. why only go with one person? Isnt easier to just take 4 people in and just keep beating on them?

No exp eggs in my relic collection either 🙁

that dinosaur place IS the best place to level. just make sure you equip exp eggs and don't forget the more people that is in your party, the lower the exp each person will get. so if u're leveling anyone in particular, lower the amount of party members. and a lot of the dinosaurs are easy to kill. just case vanish and that black hole spell for instant death.

No exp eggs? Man!

No, it is easier to go with 1 person. He will get 4x the experience in less than 4x the time. This is assuming you are decent and can beat them with relative ease with one person.

Did you trade in(or whatever you do) Ragnorok?

yea, that one works fairly well against the t-rex's, almost never against brachio's though.

Didnt know about that party thing..

But I will have to pass on it now and just keep on fighting with the 4 party system because I need to get everyone's spells up to par..

As for Ragnorok... how would I know if I did? Not sure what he does/trades in to..

(also note.. I have been playing this game for 4 years now and have forgotten parts of it like that.. no lie.. started the game the summer of 99..)

Make sure everyone has hignest magic available level 3 spells. make everyone learn ultama. make sure everyones special techs are done. Sabins Blitz and Cyans sword Tech. also get a gengi glove and the Offering relic. Make edgar attack 8 times with the atama weapon and something else. hell kill just about anything and attack all the enemies on the screen

Oh, you took Ragnorok not as the item?

If you take it as a sword, you can (somehow) make it a mad-kick-ass sword.

haha....

i remember as soon as I got the airship, i got the moogle charm (no random battles), went to kefkas final tower and got a lot of raelly nice items, then left, and did the game like that. =)

you do that by betting it at the colleseum. you geat the "luminator" or somethin like that. not worth it cause Ultama is better. get it with a Magic box cast it 2x in a row and have That Person Mimic it

it's easier and faster to level if u can kill the dinosaurs faster. equip locke w/ genji glove and offering. go find the two best swords in the game . atma weapon and ragnorak i believe? terra w/ triple cast ultima, sabin w/ his most powerful blitz. the old guy w/ the train spell. or gogo w/ his mimicing of any of the first three. that'll kill em quick! if you don't have any of those stuff i mentioned, go find it. makes life a lot more easier in the long run.

i didnt know that. most likely the 1 thing i dont know about that game. i plaied it from start to finish 6 times! dont really know why. best is when it glitched and I ended up with 99 of EVERY item. includeing gengi gloves, offerings, magic boxes, ..... you name it. made that one really easy

Get the cursed shield, wear it for 255 battles and it turns into the paladin shield. Learn Ultima (x1) from it. I can't believe I remembered that 😛

I believe that the offering is in the underground castle thingy. As for learning Ultima, try to fight in places where enemies give you lots of ability/magic points (I forgot what they're called in this one). I still can't believe that I remember this stuff even though I haven't played the game in years.

The Offering is the battle prize when you fight that ninja spirit just before the castle where you can turn Odin into Raiden. I think it's after the cave with the Gradeus dagger.

The two strongest swords are two Atma Weapons. I think you can pick up 3... One in the Esper place, one you can steal from Atma Weapon on the Floating Continent, and one you can steal from that Goddess you fight in Kefka's Tower.

The dino forest IS the best place to level up, and the total exp received from a battle is divided by the number of people in your party, so you don't really level up faster with only 1 person (although it works great for spot leveling). Also, Ultima as a spell takes too long, so I just use Ice 3 twice - assuming that you can cast Ice 3 so that it causes more than 8000dmg, I believe.

BTW, I did this all from memory. 🙂
