Bought my XFX 8800GT in mid-December for $250, just sold it a week ago for $99 shipped. Fastest depreciating piece of hardware I've ever owned. It lost 64% of its value in only 7 months! I'm pretty sure the $140 4850 I replaced it with will hold its value a lot longer.

8800GT until the products after the 260s/280s, just no reason for me to upgrade. Video cards usually last me a few years

Staying with it.. one of the better cards for the money. I will probably upgrade next summer..maybe not even upgrade at all.. It does the best job I think I can get on my 19'' monitor.

I'm still gaming with a 8800GT 512. As great as the 4850 and 4870 are, my card has been just fine for me at 1920x1080, so I haven't had a reason to upgrade yet. I'm waiting on the next generation.

I probably didn't need to upgrade, but I'm also building an HTPC and wanted to have a nice, easy 7.1 HDMI hookup between the computer and my home theater receiver. So I'll use this 4850 in my gaming PC until the HTPC is ready and then pick myself up something a bit faster for the gaming PC. The 4850 should do fine for whatever gaming I decide to try on the big screen.

I think I'll be hanging onto mine for at least another year or two. My monitor's native resolution in 1680x1050, so I'm content. I still haven't moved to Vista. According to reviews, Crysis and Call of Juarez are the only games that would give me any problems, and that's still the case with a lot of the present day cards.

I'm keeping mine too. Crysis runs very well after some fine-tuning, and every other game runs great at 1680x1050. I'll bite when the next killer game comes along...

I bought mine for 400 $ 11.th november 2007 and just sold it for 130 $. In my country, a new 8800gt costs 160 $.

Anyways, I only sold it because I've gotten a opportunity to purchase a gfx without paying the 25% VAT, but I still haven't purchased a new gfx. I'm going to wait for the new 280gtx+ or 4850x2 arrives. Maybe I'll pick up one of those or a 260 gtx/4870 depending on the prices. Hopefully the release of 4850x2/gtx 280+ will cause some price drops.
