Could probably hit some pretty solid superPI times with that memory..

I am still looking to sell my 2x512 OCZ that does DDR 500+ to pick up 2GB of something!

Can't find the right deal yet!

I'd question the amount of benefit running at CL1.5 would offer over CL2. I do like that it's also specced to do DDR600 @ CL2.5 though. If I had some of that RAM, that's probably how I'd run it.

True, but i am still interested in seeing what the performance would be like. Probably similar to 2.5 -> 2 but 1.5 seems to cross some magic barrier ;)

I have one.. Samsung TCCD Geil Ones. because of my current mobo, it dont support Cas 1.5 i haven't actually tried it, however reviews/benchmarks show their's no 'real' difference between them.

Only DFI mobos support cas1.5

Yeah I also have PQI Samsung TCCD on Brainpower PCB that's rated at CAS 2 but I doubt it would POST with 1.5. I've just never seen 1.5...I don't feel like trying it either. :Q

Really? You sure about that? Why?

Because support for CL1.5 requires a BIOS update at least, and CL1.5 is a feature that only exists in one series of RAM modules (as far as I know), and that only appeals to a very small niche market of users, so it doesn't really make sense for most of the major players to rush out and spend time and money implementing it as a new feature. DFI on the other hand has earned a nice place for itself by catering to the exact same niche that the CL1.5 RAM is designed to appeal to, so it only follows that they'd be the first to have something implemented to support it.

It doesn't matter what DFI supports. The memory controller is on the microprocessor on AMD64s. If the CPU doesn't support it, it's useless.
