Anyone here work for NVidia??

Just wondering if anyone here works for Nvidia and could tell me how they like it. Looks like they have some nice benefits and I would have to imagine working there would be freakin sweet.

Curious about work environment, living expenses, those types of things.

Any info would be appreciated.

I was looking into it, it seems like a sweet job, I would imagine the costs of living in Santa Clara are pretty high. I would assume you know a lot about technology, and tell us how you like it, because I want to look into it.

No, I'm currently working on a set of design tools for the development of FPGA processors. Looks like they're trying to do something similar for their GPU's. I guess that's what they're calling me about. I put in several applications, so I'm not sure exactly which job I'm interviewing for. They didn't say.

Trust me, if I can get nectar deals on video cards, I'll hook some brothers up.

I did a cost comparison between where I live in Utah verses Santa Clara. To make equivalent to $50,000/yr here, I'd need to make $114,000 there. That's kind of scary. But I don't know how that compares to neighboring areas that may or may not be cheaper.

Just don't buy a home. Live in the cheapest part of town and you'll make it out well. I think that figure is for like a family of 4.

I've known a driver de-ah heck from nVidia on another forum going on seven years. He loves his job. Bennies are great, especially the stock options. No freebie vid cards though. He has to buy his hardware from the Egg just like you and I do.

Best of luck to you!

LOL. Great! I'm a family of 5!

hah crap...great schools though 😛

I know plenty of people that work up there. No one has complained, and they've all been there 5+ years. Pretty sure the environment is pretty good.

one of my friends just started as an intern out there, a one bedroom apt near the campus is $1200/month but he gets paid well. i know nvidia is partnered with evga for discounted sales to employees.

edit: should have read the time stamp before posting....yea...how did it go?

dress in all red and ask them why they can't do hdr and aa at the same time, before they respond yell out BECAUSE NVIDIA SUCKS
