Why did you switch to a Tivo?

Why did you switch to a Tivo?
1) Because it was $99 - $100 rebate = FREE
2) My wife prefers the Tivo interface over ReplayTV.
3) I was itching to buy something that day and this fulfilled that desire.

Replay > Tivo. While the 5504 doesnt have auto commercial advance, all you have to do is hit the right arrow and it will skip over the commercials. As others have said it has tons of capability, and upgrading the drive is cake, mine has a 160GB.
How many hours does that give you?
Medium quality is 70ish High is like 50 low is like 100+

Go for the 5504, I cannot beat their offer![]()
Really!? COOL! Where do you see this? I looked on the site and couldn't find this info. I've already got a 5040 w/ lifetime, and I'd love to get a second one at $7 a month.Originally posted by: Sluggo
ReplayTV is also offering discounted subscription rates ($6.95 vs. 12.95 per month) on the the second and third units you get in your house.

I'll keep searching, but if you have a link, it'd be much appreciated.
edit 2: Here's that link. MultiUnit Discounted Monthly Rate. It was right off the home page. I should start my searches there from now on.
edit 2: Couldn't resist. I bought my second unit just now. Can't wait!!![]()
