Anyone here with a ATI 9600XT /256 with Rage3D installed?

I just got this card a few weeks ago and I haven't been able to play ANYTHING without my Video going WAY out of whack. It is totally un-viewable after a short time.

So last night I installed Rage3D and it says my core clock speed is 398.25 and my memory clock speed is 200.25. This doesn't seem right to me...

I installed this card into a machine I had just overclocked (2100+ @ 22.3) but the FSB is 133, I just have the multiplier jacked up. And I'm trying to narrow down my problem. Did I get a bad card, or is this video issue related to my overclocking my computer?

Anyone else with this care and Rage3D? If so, what does it say YOUR Core/Memory speeds are?

T.I.A.

Here is a screen shot of what's going on

Also I tried running 3DMark03 on it last night and it did the same thing. Un-Viewable after a short time. Then it froze, the screen went black and the light on my monitor went out.

try flashing the bios to the original one. it seems like a custom bios was made to overclock it.

I haven't done anything to the card but install it.

It's not O/Ced, just the CPU is "tweaked".

What drivers are you using? Try using an older version.

I'd say do the swap. I would think testing to see if its the card is a lot easier then doing all of these software revisions and stuff.

After you're sure its the card, then you can concentrate on it. But, right now you don't know if its the comp, the card, or what.

Interesting. I thought the 9600XT has a core speed of 500mhz and mem speed of 300mhz (DDR600mhz)
Is the card getting really hot doing your benchmark/games?

Oh, did you have a nVidea card before this new card? If you did, that you have to purge the nVidea drivers first.

No I had a 8500 before this card.

I just installed the 8500 and it works FINE.

Guess I got a bad card, since it shouldn't be a driver issue since they both use the same driver.

I had something similar happen with my GeForce 4 Ti4400. I had to return it. 🙁

But then I paid $20 more and got a Radeon 9700. 😀
