My dad made weights with cast concrete, metal cans as mould. If there is a will there is a way. This is how people with no money think.

Shit. I worked at a rice distributor unpacking 20kg bags of rice into two 10kg ones while in high school. We did skid loads of it and I was just a scrawny kid.

I don't really have "Dept". The Amazon Visa doesn't charge interest as long as you make the proper payments.

So far I made 2 payments of $170 and have 10 more payments to go.

It's still money that needs to get paid back. Also what ever happen to that construction job, that should be your focus right now to find a job.

My YMCA membership cost $49 a month, I only go there to use the pull down machine and do deadlifts, so it's not that much more expensive to get this equipment for $63 a month.

Also I think this will help me get a construction job by making me stronger. Also I can record myself working out and send it to a employer to prove I'm physically strong. The YMCA has a strict rule about using cameras in the gym.
Consider keeping an eye on craigslist and Facebook marketplace, you could potentially save a lot of money buying used, and sometimes people give stuff like this away free because they're not using it.
I don't think any employer is going to be interested in watching videos of you exercising.

The main reason I'm using the Amazon Visa is to pay in payments....

I don't think I can pay in payments with craigslist or Facebook marketplace.

You're presumably over a year away from applying for construction jobs, that's plenty of time to try and find a good deal and also still exercise.

But I suppose I do kind of realize I might as well be explaining things to a rubber duck.

I'm on the verge of buying all 3 of these with the Amazon Visa mainly so I can do pullups and deadlifts at home.

It should cost $63 a month for 6 months If I get 4 of the 45lb plates.
Basically you are saying that the conceivable happened. You are in debt and decided to go into more and more debt. This is how the downward spiral into a life of poverty always starts.

only cost
Those two words are why so many people are poor for the rest of their life. Each time those two words enter your head, you will be tempted to go further and further and further into debt that you cannot repay.

Then you can not afford it. If you can not buy it immediately on something like Facebook marketplace then no matter what, you can not afford what you want to buy. Just because it is physically possible does not make it financially possible or even a remotely good idea.

It's nearly impossible to work on your "pull" strength without some kind of equipment.

Deadlifts are considered the best lower body pull exercise.

And pull ups are considered the best upper body pull exercise.
I"ve already posted in this thread a link on EXACTLY how to do pullups without equipment.

Repeat after me: no boss will ever look at a video of you working out. No boss will ever look at a video of you working out. No boss will ever look at a video of you working out. That is not how job interviews go.

I just heard we're getting a stimulus check on Friday, if I get the check I'm definitely going to buy all the equipment immediately.

If I don't get the check, I think I'll still buy them but will try to donate plasma a little more often.

Buying crap you don’t need is well and good if you can afford it. If you are using credit to buy crap you don’t need, you can’t afford it. Being in debt is really bad for your health.

Sorry to disappoint, here's another hot tip for you to ignore: don't believe everything you see on the internet.

Well, I think I'll wait until Friday just in case the rumors are true and if it comes I'll buy it with the stimulus check.

If the stimulus check doesn't come I'll buy the equipment with the Amazon Visa.

It's just a credit card, you can use it wherever you'd use any credit card. That includes taking cash out of a cash machine.

When I was looking at payment plans for the 45lb plates there were some plates that didn't have the option to do the payment plan at checkout.

Also the laptop had a 1 year payment plan but the pull up rack and barbell only had a 6 month plan.

Theres two things going on here.
1) You have a credit card that you can use anywhere and you have to pay off a minimum amount every month and they'll charge you interest on any debt you carry over the month.
2) You have an agreement with Amazon where they'll sell you something and you can have an interest free loan for something as long as you stay within the bounds of the terms.
