Seriously, Gizmo, answer us this: Why don't you just go apply for a construction job this week? They'll train you in what you need to know if you just show up and work hard and they think you're worth the investment. Even if it's just until your class starts, it will get you some real-world experience. You'll get the muscles you need as fast as possible by actually doing the work.

I was planning to apply for a construction job a month after I get all my equipment, I'm just waiting for my gymnastics mats to be delivered to do deadlifts on. After it's delivered I'm going to go hard in my training for a month then I think I'll be strong enough to do the physically demanding work I'll be required to do.

And I'm currently not doing so bad financially, my plasma donations+SSI is enough for me to live on.

Construction isn't /that/ hard. You do the job, get a little sore for a week, then it's routine. Absolutely average people do this shit every day.

Yeah and as the new guy it's mostly grunt work I would imagine and once you prove yourself then you start to get more responsibilities. Not like you're designing site built trusses and I joist on day 1. In fact lot of the production crews building multiple houses at once don't even design anything on site, lot of stuff is prefab now. It's basically like putting together Ikea furniture just bigger.
