Anyone Here Used Amazon Visa For Financing? (I Got The Card!)

I was looking at laptops with either 'RTX 5070ti' or 'RTX 4080' GPU due to them being the cheapest laptop GPUs with Ps5Pro performance.
This Thunderbolt brand has better specs but I've never even heard of this brand.

Depends on your BoA interest rate. The Amazon/Chase card carries a pretty high rate. IF you can get in on one of their "Apply for an Amazon card. If you're approved, you get $200 off," deals...and pay it off immediately...OR, use their zero interest equal payments deal, then it's not too bad.

Instead of paying $1800 once to buy the laptop, you pay $151 per for 12 months. It's as simple as that. If you are approved for the Amazon card it looks like you don't have to pay any interest on this particular purchase.

Instead of a credit line, a reliable good paying job is a smarter move. One would know this if they even take a passing look at the news, and have the cognitive ability to beat a potato at checkers. Once that good paying job's secured, get an axe, and lots of canned goods. The canned goods will keep you going for awhile after everything goes tits up, and you're let go from your "secure" job, and the axe will get you everything else.

The one year interest free is a good deal, but keep in mind if you're ever late on a single payment they're going to butt rape you and jack that interest rate way up.

In general, if you can get a credit card that gives you points toward something you want and you pay it off in full every month, you can do ok. Don't actually go into debt for something like that unless it's an emergency, which it almost certainly isn't.

Also, most people that want to game should probably just avoid "gaming laptops" in the first place. Better off buying a desktop - lots of budget gaming plans available with PCPartPicker.

I agree. Such worse performance and higher price, just to sit at a different location when gaming (in a position which is likely awkward and tiring).

The Amazon Visa offers a 1 year warranty extension IIRC, dunno if your BoA card offers the same. Do you have a good enough credit score to believe you'll be approved a $2,000 credit limit?

Cheapest is often the worst choice for just about anything. It is basically a guaranteed ripoff.

What would you rather have, 1 pizza for $10, or 100 pizzas for $11 delivered whenever you want? The 1 pizza is cheapest.

The question is, do you need a mobile RTX 4080, or would you be better suited with a cheaper desktop rig that you could also upgrade in the future as your needs evolve? What are your needs (eg, what games, what screen resolution, what frame rate) and what is your budget?

But it's also your money, so feel free to just flush it away on a bad gaming laptop.

If you really want a laptop then save up for it.

When I got my prime visa they had the $200 credit that boomer mentioned. I got the credit the second I was approved and used it to purchase my first 4k tv. It saved me 20% and I paid off the card before getting hit with interest. The only recent credit I had was from my first capital one card which only has a $500 limit. Amazon gave me a $2000 limit which is nearly double my monthly income.

If your financial situation is as dire as everyone says, don't get the card or the laptop. Use a gaming system as a goal to fix in your mind and start your path of financial independence. Think years, not months. I know it's not fun, but embrace the suck, make a plan, and execute it step by step.
