I use it and love it if your connection is reliable its great. no contract($30 signup fee though) and quality to me is just as good as POTS.

I have had intermittent outages that have been annoying. Not sure if it's been Vonage or my cable modem provider or what, but it hasn't been as reliable as POTS.

But the price is right and it's been "mostly reliable" for me.
