Anyone Here Use the FTP on Dreamweaver?

I would like to take advantage of this as I'm familiar with FTPs..

But the last time I used Dreamweaver's FTP, It screwed up everything big time. It made all my links relative to Hard Drive even when they were originally not relative to Hard Drive.

Is there an option to change this? I'm scared to use it and f*ck up my links.

I don't know how you used it, but I've been using it since they had it in ColdFusion Studio / Homesite + ... and honestly it's just an easier way to edit files on a remote server without having to download-->modify-->upload (essentially that's what it's doing in a one-step-save).

Are you using any kind of wizard or DW menu that would modify code and change paths ?

Because nothing like that has ever happened to me.

Yeah last time my friend was editing her site for her sorority the link paths kept linking to "my document files". So yeah it can be kind of weird when you edit sites with dreamweaver.
