Wondering if anyone here uses OptimumOnline? OptimumOnline is sure is my dream come true but the only reason i can not get it is because its not in my state. For $35 to $45 a month too its a very good deal. To bad OptimumOnline can not come here. But oh well. I could always move. But if you have OptimumOnline curious what you get in like speed test and what you download rate is in IE in like the KB/sec ? Also how are your pings and routing ? Could you post some routing to some websites ? like www.download.com, www.anandtech.com , etc. And how is your game pings? Does OptimumOnline btw have any download or upload limit of how much you can download or upload per a month? Not a speed cap a data cap of how much you can download or upload a month or day?

Anyone help very appreicated
Please reply
Thanks

Here's what I get with Optimum:

Typical speed test: 4-6Mb/s down, 1Mb/s up
Typical ping to anandtech: 30-40ms
Typical game ping(I really only play RTCW): 30-40ms
Typical download speed in IE: 70-600KB/s(entirely dependent on server)

Not bad, but I've heard of faster on Optimum. Their subscriber agreement doesn't put a number cap on down or upload, but says they may change the limits at any time (where these limits ARE published, I don't know.) They do make it very clear that you shouldn't be running any type of server though. Also, I only pay $29 a month as it's discounted when you have the enhanced basic cable package.

WAYYYY better than Verizon DSL!! (which I had before)

You would really move??

mikebb well not sure on really moving but maybe hehe.
Whats state you in btw? i know OL is only in NY, NJ, and i forgot the other state. Too bad OL can't buy my cox.net cable modem isp out and give us those speeds here.

But you sure are one lucky person with those speeds for so little per a month you know.

Well, I'm from NJ. I guess Optimum's speed is one plus about a state that otherwise gets such a bad rap.
