anyone here use lexol to protect their car leathers?

Both Meguiars and Lexol are brands that put out leather cleaning/conditioning/protecting products.

I'm under the impression that Lexol is more focused on the leather whereas Meguiars is an all-around car care and cleanser company.

I have a link to a guy who wrote up and extensive car detailing guide including interior leather care. It's at home, and I'll post it later.

My impression is that Lexol is the best stuff you can buy, but (like anything) there are people who prefer other products.

I'll find that link in a few hours.

i clean my leather and vinyl using a 6:1 water:woolite solution mixed in empty spray bottle. spray on and wipe off with sponge. then i dress with 303 aerospace protectant. once again, spray on, wipe off. leaves a nice matte look...not too shiny

I too use a 6:1 woolite to clean (man is it ever amazing at cleaning leather)

then condition with lexol.

It really is incredible how good lexol works. Reminds me, I need to do that this weekend.

not shiny at all. You apply it and let it soak in a little bit, then rub with dry towel.

i have never heard of using woolite to clean leather. is it safe on the long run? will it dry out the leather?

they recommend woolite cuz its a very lite cleaner. wont harm your leather. but its strictly for getting the oil and dirt off your leather. woolite/water solution wont protect your leather. for that you need lexol or some other leather conditioner/protectant

Lexol is the best. I used it for years on the leather interior on my wife's old BMW and it kept it looking perfect. It looked almost as good when we sold it as the day we bought it.

what makes it so great is there is NO residue.

I use Lexol, but I've only been using it for a few months and I've never used anything else so I can't really tell you much. I'm happy with it, but the leather in my car was in excellent shape when I bought it despite the car's age.
