Hi all-tonight I'm writing a newspaper article on college students taking adderall. I'm just looking for any input you guys can give me..if your friends take it, how many people take it at your school, what it does for you, how much it costs you, etc.

I've been able to get it for $10-12 for a 30mg tablet. Never tried it though because that seems really expensive.
 
I had a friend that took it. He seemed like a different person while he was using...and not in a good way.

 
Most of my friends took/still take it.

We would always buy from people we know--usually getting 30mg XR pills for about $6/per.
 
I've taken it more than a few times for recreational purposes. The high can be pretty strong, depending on the dosage. I'm not in school anymore (i'm 27), but when I was there was a lot more Ritalin abuse as Adderral wasn't terribly common.

When I do get it, it's usually free. I have plenty of friends with prescriptions (some legit, some not legit). If I pay, I think it's about .5$ - 1$ per milligram.
 
I never understood people abusing Adderall.. I was prescribed it when I was younger and I don't know why people would want to abuse it.

Wayyyy too much. Or, I've never heard of anyone charging nearly that much at least.

The norm for Adderall is usually 30mg of XR. I've seen it priced from $3-10.

My friend during college took it and he claimed that he would always be "in the zone" while taking it.

$5 / pill. I used it only twice in college. Both times were to stay up and write a 10 page paper that I procrastinated on. So, I pretty much would take half at like 8pm, then the other half at 3am, and I'd be good til about noon when I'd crash. I only did it when I had to b/c I could just feel myself taking years off my body for just a one night hectic writing session.

I never used it to study b/c 1, the "taking years off my body" part and 2, if I crashed during the test, it'd be awful.

So, in your guy's schools, is it used more for the high or for the increase in attention to study/stay up all night? I've heard of it being used for both.

Both.

Some people use it for either one, or the other. Some people use it pretty constantly (so, for both).

No doubt, but I'm waaay outside the loop. When I purchase it is usually last minute, onsite, and heavily taxed. It's not something I think about in advance to secure a fair purchase price.

Honestly though, 90% of the Adderal I get is free from friends. Rarely do I buy it at "da club".

No... It did help me function better and helped to eliminate the cloudiness and voices in my head from too much LSD, though 😀

It's kind of a funny drug because it can be so versatile.

I could pop some Adderall before going out for the night, then have the best time of my life--be moving all around, high intensity, actively conversing, entertaining... the whole package.

Or, I could just take some and study for 3 hours strait, then write a paper--I would be completely in the zone, 100% concentration, and loving every second of it.

That's what makes it so popular, you get a euphoric feeling doing anything really.

Maybe.. I've never done meth though.

It feels like coke to me in a lot of ways (especially when railing it). But, then again, theres no way I could study on Coke.

My favourite drug by far - $3 a pop and you'll have time of your life doing absolutely anything. (8 hours of Calc 3 home work resulting in 2 std deviations above median on the final 😀)


Take it early afternoon, you won't go to bed till 2am. Force yourself to eat, because it really supresses any apetite you might have.

Yeah, the best time to eat is RIGHT after you take it. That way it hits your stomach while its mostly empty, but you still get food in before its too late.
 
Recreationally, for the most part, it just tightens your concentration and if you blow it (insufflation, e.g.; snorting it) it does pack quite a euphoric wallop for such a seemingly inert prescription drug. For as well known and over-prescribed as the numbers have shown it to be, however, it's pretty much relatively harmless, compared to the alternatives... If you'd like more detailed info on recreational use, shoot me a PM. *cough* at work *cough* 😉
