yea, i have it, i think, i'm 21 too. i used to have pain in my stomach and the doctor said it was deuodenitis so he put me on Zantac. I take that twice a day, but now if I miss it, I feel acid in the back of my throat after a while, which I didn't have before. I think the Zantac messed up my acid or something. but yeah if i don't take it twice a day it's awful, especially when boozing.

I had it very bad last year. To the point where everything that I swallowed came back up.

Take prilosec or Nexium EVERYDAY. Do it for a while until you feel a lot better. These are acid reducer pills and will help heal your esophagus if it was damaged.
You should also stop eating the following.

* Chocolate.
* Coffee.
* Red meat.
* Spices (Any INDIAN FOOD)

You will also have to get a bed that is inclined at the head rest.
Thats what my doc told me what I put down. Make sure you take care of yourself and not stuff yourself with food when you eat. Of course check with your doc.

Change your eating habits and read up on what is really in the foods you eat. Acid Reflux is another BS 'disease' made up to sell drugs.

I used to take nexium everyday and it caused me to have headaches, so the doctor said take zantac PRN, but the reflux has been extra bad so i might go back and ask him for protonix or another proton pump inhibitor....

Do you get reflux even with ure medications? When i was on them i could eat whatever i wanted and i wouldnt get reflux.

Nopes. I'm soooo glad that they have medications like Nexium and Prilosec since they work miracles for me. I often get heartburn and these really curb it down for at least 2 days for me.

Try Prilosec to see if it works for you. Its a bit cheaper on ebay where you can get em in 42 tablet boxes. Its what one of the gastroenterologists told me which really works.
My acid had actually irritated my esophagus so it took a while for it to get healed after taking the pills. During that time I still had reflux since I had it bad.

I really don't think he is. The Bible didn't mention acid reflux disease, after all ;)

I'm sure I have it to some degree, I get heartburn at least once every two days, often daily. It's not in your throat, dunno what you people have :Q It's internal obviously, and from the top of your rib cage down to your heart area. I've found Pepsid / Zantac to be great for when it's really bad, but I don't want to become "addicted" to them, in that your stomach increases production to counter the medicine's effects, because then stopping would suck... I just keep tums on hand for when it's not really bad. I love spicy food and I'm a raving caffeine addict; it's no mystery to me what the problem is, but life without coffee and good food isn't life.
