i need to save up some loot. can i go at least 5-8 months without paying and then resume when i am comfortable?

when do banks typically threaten foreclosure? i read it can take up to two years for them to kick you out.

let me know yo

This thread needs locked. 100% trolling.

nope. i like living in my house. so i kinda gotta pay the mortgage.

i believe they cans start threatning to forclose in 3 months. then a month after that actually start it. it can take 1month to a year to get you out after that.

but really depends on where you are. from what i remember (we had to take a mortgage class to get my loan) in IL it takes a least a year.

but why would you want to ruin your credit?

Just burn it down and collect the insurance. Problem solved. Who wants to deal with all those whiney bank reps and collections agencies calling you to collect on the back mortgage?

BTW either you are trolling or don't have a loan. if you aren't trolling i can't see someone being dumb enough to try this.

Depends if you are in one of the 20 disclosure states (iirc), which means forclosure in these states need to go thru the court system. Non-disclosure states' forclosing is often much quicker.

Looking for list of disclosure states now and the forclosure periods...

The average time it takes to boot someone out right now is taking about 430 days, iirc, up from 260 a couple years ago. This is due to the backlog.

you are an idiot....people like you are part of the reason this whole financial fuck up started...personally I hope you end up living in a cardboard box and die a homeless heroine addict stabbed while rummaging through a trashcan for food.

From the article

"Foreclosure has allowed them to stabilize the family business. Go to Outback occasionally for a steak. Take their gas-guzzling airboat out for the weekend. Visit the Hard Rock Casino"

If you can afford that shit you arent in trouble, sell the fucking boat, stop going out to the casino throwing your money away. Eat at home. I hope they are thrown out on the street...

You echoed my thoughts.

actually i blame the bank for giving me a loan when i only had < 10k in savings and my debt exceeded income. this was at the height of the real estate bubble and i got suckered in. i am without fault here.

haha, you obviously are clueless about how 'this whole financial fuck up started'.

Not to mention the part in the middle about how it kept on going. 😕
