Anyone here remember Red Skelton?

Yes, he was before my time, too. I have seen some of his work, and he is funny.

Might wanna change that title though. 🙂 I wasn't sure you were talking about the comedian or a speed metal group. 😛

My parents watched him every show way back in the early 60's. I remember it well, especially Clem cladiddlehopper and his other personalities. In private life he is also a great artist, where his paintings of circus clowns are world famous. He also did quite a few movies way back.

Yes, I remember him fondly. His TV show was always something worthwhile and done in good clean fun.

I never heard him use profanity of any kind in his jokes.

Dang! Im dateing myself here but yes I remember Red very well. We grew up watching that show! Sheeeesh this brings back happy memory's! 🙂

Monel Funkawitz
I believe there are DVD's of his comedy. There are DVD's of about everything. Check out blockbusters or hollywood video or something. He is the master of good clean humor.

He made a few movies too, one with Gene Kelly and Lucille Ball, kinda second rate though. He's got a cameo in the original Ocean's 11 as himself.

yeah, i remember, too. One of my favorite old comedic movie actors is Danny Kaye; he was great.

Ahhh!! Danny Kaye is awesome! Beats Red Skelton by far in my book. I even thought of mentioning him in my post but didn't. Old movies rock, they're the best!

Yes I used to watch him ALL the time as a kid.

My parents LOVED him.

I still remember my Dad coming home from the hospital after an appendectomy and watching Red that Sunday.

He would LAUGH then CRY from the pain!!
(My Dad wasn't the smartest guy sometimes) 😉
