Anyone here play Go?

So, anyone play Go? I sort of recently got into playing it, but I have trouble getting my friends into it and most of the people on the internet game servers are much better than me.

I had the same problem. I also couldn't figure out the ranking system despite reading it about 10 times (albeit with little sleep). I lost 5 games and then gave up.

i want to learn how to play. any suggestions on where to look up the rules and stuff? i know a bit about the basic game play, but not all the scoring rules and such.

Check it out on wikipedia. They have all the rules and stuff and links to computer versions.

It's a really hard game. Sometimes I am playing and I take like 5 mins for a turn and as soon as I place my piece, the computer goes "PWND!!" and makes a play that captures like 5 of my pieces and surrounds like 15 spots and creates a new pair of eyes somewhere that I didnt even realize I was about to be destroyed.

It really takes concentration, especially on a larger board.
