Yes, actually, I do. I find it a lot of fun, once you get past the tedium of the first few days.

Funny, I would think it would be right up the alley of many people here at Anandtech. You get to sign up as a citizen of whatever country you want, get a job, join the army, fight international battles and otherwise waste as much or as little time on the internet as you feel necessary. It's a hella lot more interesting than Mafia Wars at least.

So if I am an employee of a company, and they have more people than the max productivity (the amount of resouces they get in) then do I not work for the day or will I still get paid?

Good question. Certainly if the company doesn't have enough money when you work, you do not get paid. I think that if you work and they don't have enough raw materials for you to produce the amount of good for your work you would still get paid. The employer would just lose out on the finished products you would have made.

But honestly, I've never tried to work when my company is out of raw materials.

That's me in game. I can help anyone get past the first 5 boring days and beyond. Once you get to the point where you can fight in wars, things get more interesting. Oh, and if you chose to be American in the game set your home state to either California or Florida. The USA just recovered from being almost wiped off the map by the Russians, Hungarians, French, Colombians, Indonesians and Portuguese. As a consequence, all the hospitals have been destroyed except in those two states. Trust me, you're going to appreciate living in a state with a hospital. . .

I think it's supposed to be back up around noon EST.

I've been playing for the last 3 months, and it's been a lot of fun.

There is basically a huge world war, with America, Canada, Spain, Greece, Romania, Croatia (+ more) vs. Hungary, Indonesia and Russia.

It was just a few weeks ago that Russia was one battle from conquering ALL of America.

It's an addicting game that starts out super boring (since you can't do anything for the first 5 days essentially). After that, there is military and political strategy that is very engrossing. I'm in the Mobile Infantry and we deploy all over the world to fight in resistance wars.
