Anyone here play Dragon Warrior 7 and Final Fantasy Anthology?

I can't decide which to get.

If you have played both which did you like better and why?

I've never played DW7...

But Anthologies comes with FF4 and FF5. FF5 is kinda neat cuz it's never been in the US before. And FF4 is one of my favourite games ever.

FFIV was with Chrono Trigger in FF Chronicals (I know I beat it)

I to adore FF4

FF Anthology has V and VI

On one hand DW is supposed to have around 100 hours of game play.

On the other hand FF Anthology has 2 games (but not supposed to equal the total hours in DW)

FF anthonology for psx has:

FF5
FF6

i couldn't stand playing it on psx, way too much load time and sabins aura bolt had a point where it froze(even if for a split second) in the middle of the move, it was so annoying...it is much better on SNES
i never really liked FFV either, the story is pretty crappy...

i'd get DW7

My only hope is that DW7 is near the game I thought the first one was.

I simply adored it. It came with my subscription to Nintendo Power

i've played all of these games, i still have the carts for ff4, ff6, and chrono trigger (secret of mana too 😀)

ff5 didnt really pull me in....people tell me it gets better later on, but man i just got sick of playing it. (ifrit's hard as f*#$ing hell too)

ff6 is great, i've probably played that more than any other game in my life, and i've been playing it since around when it came out (i was like...10 or 11)

dw7, i rented and didnt play much, but people say that the story is reeeeeally good, and that its really fun. also the game is supposed to be over 100 hours, which is insane.

i couldnt really recommend one over the other, it just depends on whether you'd rather play a (or 2) classic game(s), or whether you'd rather play a new game.

i own anthologies, and hopefully i'll get dw7 someday (i'm broke as hell so it wont be soon 🙁)

either way you cant go wrong IMO 🙂

Oh yeah, of course. Heh I have both kinda mixed them up there sorry.

Chronicles is the good one. With FF4 and ChronoTrigger.

Anthologies is okay, but I don't like FF6 as much as 4, and I wasn't a huge fan of 5.

I'd probably get DW7 over Anthologies. But I'd take Chronicles over DW7.

Chronicles, then DW7, then Anthologies.

I voted for Anthologies....but that was a mistake...so it should be 5/0 for DW7.

After i beat 4 in Chronicals I tried to play Chrono Trigger but I felt the load times were just terrible.

So I went to my local Babbages and traded Chronicals for the original Chrono Trigger. After about 3 days I still wasn't hooked on CT so I took it back and now I am without a good game to play

if you didnt like the game...you didnt play it long enough or something, its an awesome game.
