does anyone know how long the video playback time is? i haven't really tested it out, and i don't use it for video, but it would be nice to know how long i could theoretically use it for video...

I use an rca to 3.5mm cable to run mine thru my line input in my headunit. This way it runs behind the headunit and behind the dashboard and comes up thru my center cupholder area and I hook it into the headphone jack on the unit.

They are supposed to be working on firmware to include a ID3 database. They have been really good about releasing new firmware with fixes and features.

they have athread on it already. id3 databasing is coming around janurary/feburary. the source code will come from another company(crosses fingers for the excellent rio databasing fimware).

a iaudio rep told me it's coming very soon, and will follow shortly the current firmware that finally allows drm playback. it'll come since it's a needed feature for jetaudio 7 or something. Said should be no later than janurary or feburary, but i wouldnt hold my breath. in july, they promised id3 is 3 months away.

its not bad...but seriously, holding a portable player isn't the ideal way to watch a 2 hour video.

I commute daily on a train, and its somewhat of a pain to hold it in one position the whole time.

I wrote a program that reads the ID3 tags in mps files and creates a directory structure based on the artist/album or however you want it to be created. PM me if you want it.

well ive had mine for a few months now and i dont even notice the lack of ID3 tag support, the playeer is oganized just like my music folder, something like 5000 songs on it now, and its easy to find whateever i want, most times i just have it shuffel through all every song on there, which is the same way i played my Zen Xtra which did have ID3 tag support

I am also considering one of these -I could use some feedback...

Is this a good deal? Can anyone suggest a better one?

The cheapest I could find the 30gig 5XL version for is 315. That's quite a leap forward. I'm not entirely sure I am ready to spring 300+ (even the 260 is stretching myself thin). Could I maybe buy the XL battery later on?

Also, anyone had one of these for while? What's the longevity like? Can it take abuse or is it ultra delicate?

Any other advise and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I just got my new Creative Zen Vision M last night. This thing is really nice. Sound quality is amazing and videos look perfect.

Hmm, I'm looking at the X5 tonight. Any updates from the people that bought these a few months back?

How well does the video converting software work?
