My parents just bought one today. I test drove it yesterday with my father and was pretty impressed. It's big $$ though.

If you haven't seen it, go here.

Yeah, it's bigger than both the Expedition AND the Tahoe. I'd surely get one...my dad was thinking of one til I told him the price.

I am just sick and tired of people buying large SUVs for pure image. If you need a large vehicle with off-road abilities, that is cool. If, however, you are just using it to haul only you and a small batch of stuff, you need to get a wagon. Hell, a Taurus wagon hase more interior room than the Explorer and Expedition while seating 7 instead of 5. Not only is it cheaper, but the Taurus has better gas milage, handles better, and still has a good image (especially if you get something like an Audi A6 Avant).

Haha that is the biggest load of sh|t I have heard in a while. What is one of the main reason a person buys a car? Looks, style and image. IMO, Taurus' are ugly as hell and the "image" of them is of an old person. People buy cars for the image that the get with it. WHy do u think many people buy mercades? Luxory, quality and IMAGE!

I only hope gas stays $2/gallon for a long time.

Let SUVs die off when people realize they spend $80 at the pump a week.

Unfortunately it's only at $1.50 here in Texas...

Yea, the cargo room is marginal but I that's what U-Haul trailers are for anyway I guess.

If I read correctly, I think that the cargo area is actually SMALLER than a 5-Series wagon:Q Now that is just f*&ked up :D

Thanks for defending the integrity of the thread, NFS4. :)

My parents bought it because they need something that can haul 6-8 people on a regular basis. The family (including myself) takes a few trips each year out to the western side of the state to visit my aunt. Plus my mother is always driving around a bunch of women from her club when they go out to lunch and stuff.

Plus, they needed something with 4x4 capability to get around in the snow. We've been getting more than a bit of snow the last few years. My sister is away at college, and is without a vehicle. If there is snow on the ground and there is an emergency, they need to be able to get out there. Plus, they move her crap back and forth about 4 times a year.

You can remove the back row of seats and part of the middle row of seats. The rest fold forward, so there is alot of room for hauling crap. The back window is powered, and can be lowered completely, if you'd have to haul lumber or something.

i saw a couple on the road today, look pretty nice....

but why does toyota have the sequoia and the landcruiser, the 4runner and Highlander, and the RAV 4, not to mention the Lexus versions... I thought Ford was the only company trying to saturate the SUV market (Escape Explorer Expedition Excursion)...
