This link is grabbed from a warcrow thread in Software, so I don't claim it as my own 🙂.

PSP review

This review/impression is from a regular user, and he has lots of great info and pics in that thread. Read up on that for a bit.

Is that a standard sized minidvd that it runs? If so, i could transfer my episodes of carnival and put them on them to watch in the car.

Nope, it's called a UMD. Only way to transfer files will be via a memory stick, and even then, not sure what the limits are with DRM and such.

How much would it set you back, MX2times? You might want to wait (unless you really have to have it) until the North American release. Usually the revisioned hardware get released to us here in the states with tweaks and minor adjustments (and maybe improved battery life, no matter how small would be nice).

Yeah, I just may wait. It will put a $450 hole in my pocket book shipped with one game

I'll have impressions within 2-4 days when my one arrives.

With the crazy high £ to $ I'll get the PSP value box with Ridge Racer (no choice on this) and I also bought Vampire Chronicle.

US$ 588.90 (~309.88 GBP

Not too bad imo with 2 games and the value kit. I can sell it later if I get bored and just buy a UK one 😛

That seems like way too much money considering (I think) it will retail in the U.S. for $150 (value pack = $200)

Isn't the PS2 itself supposed to retail at $200 and games are $30-50?

I don't know about the states but in the UK the PS2 is £130 with 1 game and the games are £30-£40.

like in the case of the ps1, sometimes the first revision is the easiest to crack and enable all regions. Anyone remember the paperclip trick for the ps1? =)
