My wife, who rarely has much of an opinion about cars, said she would like to get a Honda Pilot next time we get a family vehicle.

Just curious if anyone here has any experience with this model.

if so, how many MPG do you get?
how's the ride/handling?
any problems or annoying design issues?

1)18~19MPG city, 23MPG hiway.
2)Ride is fine. Quiet. It handles a ton better than the GMC envoy/chevy trailblazer. It felt like those things would really roll over at the twitch of the wheel: Not so for the Pilot. Sure, it has some lean inherent with a good ride, but it feels controlled at all times.
Driving over I-90 in crappy weather, blowing rain, it was more stable than anything I had driven to date.

3)"hard plastic surfaces abound........"
I wish it had a power seat option for the passenger seat too.

Uncle has one. It's nice and roomy. The mileage isn't too great, but what do you expect from a V6 SUV...I think the MPG is around 20. Ride is smooth, car is easy to drive. Can't really think of any serious issues I have with it...though I doubt it would function well in Antarctica, which is a problem.

My dad owns one. It drives alright, but the interior just plain sucks. Uncomfortable, hard, headrests kill. And the third row is for toddlers only.

cramped.

have you tried looking into minivans? the nissan quest is awesome (we have one). the Honda minivan (for not knowing how to spell it) is nice too, but not as roomy or stylish. oh and the nissan quest has been said to handle and ride alot better too.
