Ok, what is the difference between this weapon and the M-16 and AK47? I am a gun noob. But I am interested in case I have to some day repel a zombie invasion.

what do you mean what's the difference?

look at the guns. the difference is quite obvious.

Anyone have a constructive answer?

Lighter, more reliable, better equipped to hang gadgets off of (integrated rails), improved ergonomics, etc..

Also piston driven and monolithic upper receiver. Quick change barrels.

For the end user civilian, nothing really revolutionary or needed that isn't already done before.

For a military unit, it gives them the ability to change roles very quickly.

I think others may have answered your question, but if your main concern is a zombie hord I would suggest a shotgun and one of these. And here is a pic of one in action. Those zombie bastards won't know what hit em! Just be careful in close quarters combat.

uh, O RLY?

In BF2, G36E > *, period.

g36 doesnt have telescopic or red dot sights.

that's really the only reason why i like the mentioned guns. i simply can't use iron sights in that game. if the G3 had telescopic sights, i'd like it a whole lot more. but using iron sights kills half my field of vision.

Shotguns are always more effective in zombie invasions... Plus, the ammo is cheap and you can get it easier. If zombies invaded right now and you had a 5.56mm/.223 cal AR-15 you wouldn't be able to get 5.56 and you'd be waiting weeks to pick up a lousy couple of boxes of 20 rounds of the .223 from walmart. By then, they'd have your brains.

Everyone's been buying guns since Obama got elected and the threat of the 500% increase in ammo tax is causing people to go crazy (including myself).
Is there a source or reason for people going insane buying firearms? I haven't heard anything in the news or anywhere and am wondering where people are getting this? Is a complete firearm crackdown law in the works or do people just not know what the fuck is going on and are running around like chickens with their heads cut off?
