I don't get why we have to floss every morning when we already flossed at night.

I brush my teeth (Sonicare), floss, and use Listerine twice a day (at least 30 seconds). Mornings, after I eat breakfast and evenings before bed.

I seem to have bad gums, no matter how strict my regiment I still struggle with gum recession as a result of periodontal disease. I mostly have it under control with my strict regiment but my dentists (yeah I got second opinions to ensure I wasn't getting ripped off) just say sometimes you are just unlucky. If it gets any worse I'll be doing targeted antibiotics and 3 month cleanings, instead of 6 month. Thankfully it seems to be in a holding pattern currentlyi. I was able to pull most of the recession levels from 5s into the 3-4 range. I jumped all over the more expensive dental PPO insurance plan offered by my work. I'm 23.

How did you manage to get periodontal disease at the age of 23? 0.0

You thought about getting gum graft?

I never floss. Ever. I haven't had cavities in many many years, either. I brush and use mouthwash twice a day and it seems to be enough.

If nothing else, I'd do it for the breath. Rinsing with mouthwash, especially if it doesn't have the 20%+ alcohol, isn't adequate to loosen or remove the bacteria between the teeth.

I actually floss with 21.7% (iirc) alcohol mouthwash in my mouth at the same time. Great way to kill the hard to get bacteria. Once at night.

My gums are like that when I brush too much. My gums are just too sensitive. Try brushing and flossing at night, but not in the morning. Use Listerine both times, as you have been.

If it doesn't get better, go back to what you've been doing.

Who the hell flosses in the morning?

You relax and floss at night and go to bed.

How do you have mouthwash in your mouth and floss at the same time? That seems pretty hard to do without making a mess.

Do you mean floss first and then do the mouthwash?

I use an electric flosser made by reach so it only takes 1 hand can for the most part, except for the device, keep the mouth closed when flossing. Not sure why but they don't sell it anymore tho, just the non-electric version. I suspect there were some patent issues.

I floss 5 or 6 days a week. I don't always brush my teeth twice a day. I have sensitive skin in my mouth, to the point where I can't use whitening toothpaste because it makes my gums and lips peel.

I only floss when I get food stuck between my teeth, typically after hanger or skirt steak.

I only brush at night. No cavities.

The only time I floss is when I go to the dentist or when I really get something stuck in my teeth. That's like once every 5-10 years.
