My G&G GR16 (M4) that I'm trying to revive from the dead is having firing issues. It will shoot maybe 2 or 3 times after I load a mag and will continue firing but no bb being fired. Also when it does shoot it's flying so slow I can see the whole flight path of the bb. It only goes out about 15-20 ft before it hits the ground. I believe the compression is good since I can feel the air blast more than a foot away from the nozzle. Hop up seems ok but the bucking was ripped so I replaced it but it's still shooting like crap. Went back and cleaned the piston head and made sure the holes were clear. Still the same thing. What am I missing here?

I know with my real stuff, misfeeds usually have to do with magazines and feeding ramps. You using the right bb's? Is your magazine spring worn out?

It sounds like you don't have a good airtight seal between the cylinder head + cylinder (maybe also the air nozzle), and/or the cylinder + piston/piston head. Since you haven't used your AEG in awhile, I'm guessing the rubber gasket on either assemblies has degraded so it can't maintain a strong seal after the 2-3 shots you make.

One way to check the air seal is cover the cylinder/cylinder head opening with your finger, and then trying to push in the piston/piston head into the cylinder. If it *completely* stops about midway, then the seal is good.

To see if the air nozzle is at fault, do the same thing, but add the air nozzle and cover the air nozzle opening with your finger. If the piston stops midway, then the air nozzle is good.

Edit: corrected some part names.

Sorry. I could only suggest the spring has issues but I cant be sure.
