I'd pay the extra money if I could. The TOS and better uptime alone would be worth it.

You win the grand prize. The SLA is what makes the difference. The commit times for DSL are a joke compared to T1 or even a single 64K DS0.

Maybe a good deal for your company...

My company: Paying $650 for full T1

We have a T1 at work. I will check the speed tomorrow. Not sure how much a month because HQ paid for the whole thing (all infrastructure for all locations, about 50, are paid at HQ).

If it's not a fractional T1 then there is only one speed it could be.

I've got two t1s here at my house. One's used for internet access, the other is a PRI circuit for dialup access. Total cost for everything is something like $1,100/month, but that includes the cost of the internet feed, the newsfeed, etc. Everything else has stayed stable or gone down over the years, but the cost of the PRI circuit has been racheting steadily upwards, so I'm shopping around for a way to replace that.

10 cable, 10 DSL costing 400-500/month could get you much more speed then T1
3.0/384= 30mbps/3.84mbps
1.5mbps is pathetic IMHO, the only plus is symetrical speed.

Well a full duplex connection is nice, speed isn't so hot, but being able to upload and download at the same time helps in certain applications.

n0cmonkey you lazy bastard. I thought you were never going to show up. half of 'em believe that a t1 is 100MBps, the other half believes that it is 100MBps , and the rest think that dsl is "just better "

whew....
